I understand that WAV is microsoft/windows and AIFF is Mac/OSX. But in the end...everyone says they are pretty much the 'same quality'.
The problem is...I have acquired a pretty substantial sized library of samples/sounds already.
I have about 15,000 samples right now. About 5,000 are AIFF and 10,000 are WAV.
It would be a total waste of time and energy to try and convert those 10k wav samples into AIFF...?!?!?!?
1. If I am 'strictly' working on a Mac and Ableton for all my music production needs...Should I try and stick to AIFF as much as possible just to be on the safe side and/or for continuity...???
Say when...Buying sample packs...Exporting/Saving Projects...DJ'ing with Ableton...and pretty much anything else audio related inside ableton.
2. Any downsides/cons to working with WAV inside Ableton on a Mac...???
If not...than it really does not matter if its WAV or AIFF than as long as the sample/sound works for what I need...right...???
Help...?!?!?
