  • I have traktor pro 2 installed and my hercules e2 controller works fine with it, all controls are fine but no sounds played through traktor play.
Under Audio setup i have the following settings:
    Audio device: ASIO4ALL v2
    Sample rate: 24000Hz
    Latency: 512

Then under the ‘Built in soundcard’ bit i have ASIO4ALL selected again. The only other choice being something called” Conexant 20561 smartaudio ( (Wassapi) (Shared mode))”

I have no idea what to do with input & output routing, but have had no luck with just guessing.. could really use some help people.. if you need any more info, let me know.. thanks

On Audio Setup, select “ASIO4ALL” for audio device. Then, on Output Routing, select “Internal” for mixing mode, on Out Master select 1: Front Left, then 2: Front Right. Output Monitor should be 3: Back Left, then 4: Back Right.

So I’ve checked your controller the Hercules E2, and learned that it doesn’t have a built-in soundcard. And, the computer that you are connecting to is using a Digital-Out interface, which means your ordinary 3.5mm will not work with it. You will need a S/PDIF is a digital audio interconnect to RCA cable to be able to connect it to an external mixer or speakers.

Try using Conexant 20561 smartaudio ( (Wassapi) (Shared mode)) as your audio setup and use “internal” in your output routing select “anything” that is available on your drop down list and see if any sound is produced in your computer.

If it still doesn’t work, then your computer’s soundcard doesn’t support external audio routing, you may need to buy a DJ soundcard like one of these: http://www.digitaldjtips.com/2010/11/6-budget-dj-sound-cards/

3D 5.1 soundcards will work as long as you have two separate outputs. But, if you want to connect it to high-powered mixers and speakers, then I recommend buying a DJ soundcard from numark or native instruments. That way there would be no distortion if you pump up the volume.

So today i bought a new Headset, its the Creative Sound Blaster Tactic3d Rage USB version. Oct 01, 2015  Traktor not finding my headphones, can only find my spekaers (self.traktorpro) submitted 3 years ago by derderppolo. So I'm using a Numark Mixtrack Pro 3 and Traktor Pro 2.7.1. After setting up the.tsi files and mapping everything, it all works great. Except, when I plug my headphones into the headphone jack at the bottom of the Mixtrack. My Native Instruments Controller is not Listed in TRAKTOR's Setup Wizard TRAKTOR PRO 2 automatically detects all Native Instruments controllers based on our NHL protocol and adds them to your configuration. Mar 01, 2016  But since my headset does not even seem to be detected nothing works. Any USB headset that is known to be reliable with windows 10 would be a boon if anyone knows of any otherwise I think I am out of luck until Microsoft can address this problem that seems to be a common problem with these devices.

Sent an e-mail but figured I would elicit a faster response here.
First off let me commend you on the amazing work you are doing and thank you for your time taken to read this. I'll get right to the point. I just purchased a (regular) VCI-100 and the black SE overlays (oops). I currently use Agorriddim's djay software, but it just isn't as versatile as I want it to be (could it be?). I want to upgrade to Traktor Pro, but dont have the money for a soundcard yet. A couple questions:
1.
What I need to know is: In Traktor Pro, can I use my USB headphones and macbook sound output together as an aggregate device to pre-cue in lieu of using a soundcard, that is, for the time being?
2. I just purchased the black overlays from you for looks alone, and didnt even consider that the layout was for the SE edition and firmware. I know you can update firmware on the VCI, but did I make a mistake in buying the overlay? How different are the controls vs the standard? Would you recommend a firmware upgrade so that the controls will match their function?
